AIM OF THE PROJECT :
New Valentino Flagship store on ground, first and second floor of an historic masonry building in Rome’s old city centre.
BY SCL :
Executive Design and Works Management of all structural works (steel and reinforced concrete) by law 1086/1971.
Most notable structural works include:
• three monumental stone staircases;
• a major double-height atrium upon demolition of slab portions and addition of two steel frames, including a double-height one, in order to grant full support to upper floors;
• additional support to existing crawl spaces and opening of many compartments into bearing wall alignments.
All the works, both structural and architectural, have been completed in only four months.
