AIM OF THE PROJECT :
Revamping and improvement of fume treatment plant from the electric arc furnace.
New extractor hood supported by the reinforced concrete building of the steelworks dated back to the 70s. Construction of the new roof of the raw steel deposit, with earthquake resistance function for the all structure. Pre-treatment equipment (axial cyclone) and fumes ducts connected to existing fabric filters. Ducts, dampers and supports. Work executed in 40 days during the summer production stopping including dismantling of the hood and roofs, reinforcement of the existing structures, assembly and installation of the new structures and equipment.

Project of the erection sequence of the extractor hood, executed with a 800t movable crane handling the pre-assembled modules of the hood up to 50t and complete of the smoke-proof cladding.
